I know what you might be thinking. Ambulatory EEG has been around for a while. Some of you might be a past patient that had to wear this thing around and maybe you found out what your problem was or maybe you didn’t. Then again maybe you are a Neurologist thinking “Big Deal” it is just another long term EEG that I have to search through after a long day of seeing patients.

If you fit into either category, I understand your agony. But what is happening here in Texas is a brand new kind of ambulatory EEG. This is truly unique and as refreshing as an EEG can possibly be. Patients actually like us and our referring neurologists love us.

I know this page might make some people upset and nervous, but if it will get people to improve and to demand the very best in technology and service then it is all worthwhile.

Everyone already knows and agrees that the longer you can record an EEG the better your chances are of finding a true diagnosis.

This has been catching on like wildfire in Texas but the doctors that are using it have been keeping it a secret from other neurologist. Why, because they want to be the only ones offering this to their patients. We get calls from all over the country wanting to know how they can offer this to their patients. Right now we can only offer it in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. We will be opening up more areas soon, I promise.

While working for a major equipment manufacturer selling neuro-diagnostic machines the doctors were constantly asking our company to develop a way to incorporate synchronized digital video into the EEG. Now, there is a company that has already done this to a certain degree but the video is about as bad as one of those children’s Fisher Price toys. What we were looking for is something that has never been done before. We wanted ours to replace the hospital's epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) for everything except very special cases. We understand that these special cases - i.e. surgical candidates and withdrawal from medication will always need to be done as inpatients but there really is no need for every patient to be admitted for diagnosing seizure disorders. When we decided to develop our video ambulatory EEG here is the criteria we wanted to meet:

· Reading physician should be able to zoom in on the patient after the study is completed

· Patient should be able to move through the home without having to carry anything in their hands

· Everything should be wireless except for the electrodes that go into the amplifier

· Best review software on the market (same software found in the nation’s largest EMU’s)
